Pape-Dawson Engineers proudly congratulates Vice President, Taylor Dawson, P.E., who has been named recipient of the 2019 “Young Engineer of the Year” by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE) Bexar Chapter.
This notable award is presented each year to a young TSPE engineer for their impact within their company as well as their involvement in altruistic activities. Mr. Dawson will be recognized at the Proclamation Breakfast on February 19, 2019.
Mr. Dawson joined Pape-Dawson as a full-time employee in 2010. During his career at Pape-Dawson, he has played an integral role in the success of many land development projects, including site design for large and small shopping center developments, multi-family and single-family residential developments, and roadway design. As an Officer, he is actively involved in running the day-to-day operations of the company and in setting growth strategies for the future. Additionally, to help new employees integrate into the company, he established and currently leads the U30 program, which also includes the company’s first mentor program.
In addition to TSPE, Mr. Dawson is an active member of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, the Urban Land Institute, and the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, serving as a board member.

Mr. Dawson earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2010, followed by a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 2016. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
