The Officers of Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. are pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Trey Dawson to Vice President. In this role, Mr. Dawson will continue providing technical oversight of the firm’s land development services, and he will take a strong leadership role in the promotion and management of these services throughout the San Antonio region.
Mr. Dawson joined Pape-Dawson as a full-time employee in 2009 and has more than 8 years’ experience in civil engineering. Prior to 2009, he served as a survey intern and an engineer intern for several summers at Pape-Dawson. As part of the San Antonio office’s Land Development team, he is responsible for managing the development of master planned communities, single-family residential, multi-family residential, retail, office, medical, and light rail industrial projects.
During his career at Pape-Dawson, Mr. Dawson has successfully led many innovative land development projects, such as the 400-acre Alamo Junction Rail Park, and the Witte Museum Expansion Project. In addition, he has led his team to the successful development of thousands of single-family residential lots for numerous home builders and developers throughout San Antonio, and he also recently served as the Civil Engineer for the Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus master plan.
Mr. Dawson has served the Real Estate Council of San Antonio as a member of the Government Affairs Committee and as a co-chair for the 2016 Leadership Class. He has also served as a board member for the San Antonio North Chamber of Commerce and is currently serving on its executive committee. Mr. Dawson is a board member for the Texas Biomedical Research Institute Founders Council and previously served as Chair for the North East Independent School District Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee. In addition, he is an active member of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers.

Mr.Dawson holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
