Pape-Dawson Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Welch, P.E. to Vice President. As Vice President, Mr. Welch will continue to lead planning, design, construction, and permitting for industrial, commercial, and residential land development projects.
With more than 15 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, Mr. Welch’s responsibilities have included the design and management of a government office campus, residential subdivisions, commercial retail sites, public roads, public utilities, storm drainage studies, and feasibility studies. Mr. Welch has successfully contributed to projects, such as Park North redevelopment, Texas Cryptologic Center, Glazer’s Distribution Warehouse, Stillwater Ranch, and Talise De Culebra subdivisions.
Mr. Welch serves as a Board Member on the City of Castroville Planning and Zoning Commission. He is an active member of the Real Estate Council of San Antonio, serving as co-chair of the Golf Tournament Committee, and was a participant in the 2010-11 Leadership Development Program. Mr. Welch is also a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Associated General Contractors of America Leadership Forum.

Mr. Welch earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 2003. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Texas.
